I am a big chocolate and sweet lover. I always like to vary the types of chocolates I eat and one of those chocolates in the rotation is named Catch. Catch is made by a local candy company here which goes by the name of Charles.

Charles Catch is a unique combination of rice crisps, chocolate and caramel. Usually the caramel is made into

a medium sized log but just a bit flattened and it is usually covered with chocolate and rice krispes! Yum.

The caramel in Charles Catch is very soft when you leave it at room temperature but if placed in the refrigerator it does not retain it’s softness but actually seems to turn into hard candy! The caramel, when at room temperature, is smooth, creamy ...

      • and so very sweet! Even when frozen stiff, once you begin chewing on it, it becomes a wonderful gooey caramel right in your mouth.

The milk chocolate which coats it is a perfect compliment to the caramel filling and the innovation of mixing rice crisps with the chocolate was a very nice idea. I love chocolate with rice crisps or a crispy center so

you can see why I like this treat, besides the obvious heavenly mix of chocolate and caramel.

If you ever visit the Caribbean or in particular, Trinidad…look for a Charles Catch! You’ll enjoy it very much and it comes in two sizes, a fun size and regular, so you can have a fun size bar as a little “experiment” to see if you’d like it.
