If you’re looking to TEMPORARILY add sheen to dull or dry hair, you should look into Revlon’s Finisheen Oil sheen spray. I say TEMPORARY because while the spray has all the makings of a

penetrating oil sheen, it seems to evaporate within an hour, leaving hair just as dull as it was before.

I don’t know if my hair just happens to soak up oil.

      But I know ...

      • that I’ve used other products which created softer, more bouncy styles.

The spray itself smells pleasant when used-sort of like a mild musk.

But it’s incredibly thick, and sometimes makes me cough

        when I use it.

The oil sheen tends to take to freshly relaxed hair.

But on hair that’s unprocessed, it seems to have no effect.

I’ll probably try another brand next time.
