The Best Western in Seattle has a really nice feel. The hotel’s view provides a lush backdrop of small green evergreens and larger green evergreens which make a beautiful statement. The hotel’s architecture is kind of modern. There are two floors and the color of the building is light tan. The roof to the building had light brown shingles and with these colors, the hotel looked quite understated. The pitch of t he roof was very slight, but there was a bit of an angle. The same angle was reflected on the attached roof over the first floor. I like that look it was different. All around the building were small globe evergreens with larger pyramidal shaped ones which accented every so 5 or 6 globes. In front of the globes was purple creeping pflox. The parking lot was big and nicely lit.

The lobby was quite austere. The floor in the lobby was tan linoleum. The walls were cream white

and so was the ceiling. The lobby extended out to the rest of the hotel with halls which tied in with the rest of the decorating theme. The registration area was sided in a dark wood veneer with black horizontal accents. The registration desk was long which t he back area of it painted beige. The area was lit with directional lights pointed against the back wall. The seating area in front of the registration desk looked like something that belonged in a cabin in the woods. There was basically three chairs with a wood bases and seat and back cushions made of a black and white zig zag fabric. There was a solid round coffee table in the center of the seating group. The coffee table looked like a short up ended log. There was a square end table between two of the chairs with a black and white lamp on it. They decorated with a bunch of live ferns and other plants positioned ...

      • around the lobby.

Our room looked a whole lot nicer than the lobby. The walls were beige with a white ceiling. The carpeting in the room was a red and brown color. The room had slots of space and it had plenty of seating area and storage. The large windows where covered with a very pretty window treatment. The window had sheers covering it a light beige color. There was a large unusually shaped valance that extended past the window. The valance and the drapes were blue grey. There was an air conditioner below the window. The queen bed was extremely comfortable with plenty of fluffy pillows. The coverlet on the bed had about the same color tone as the carpet. The coverlet extended all the way to the floor and was made of a fabric with a white background with brick floral designs. There was a low chest of drawers with a large television on it. The furniture in the room was

typical hotel furniture without much character. There were two cushioned brick red chairs against the opposite wall of the room. Between the two chairs was an end table with a white table lamp. Over this area was a metal framed print. Across from the seating was a work desk. It had a rolling chair with it which was upholstered with the same fabric as the drapes. There was also a table lamp on the desk.

We spent some time down by the pool. The pool area was really neat. The walls were all white except for the outside wall which was completely glass so the area was really well lit. The pool was a very unusual shape. The large hot tub was wonderful. It was large and it wasn’t so chlorinated that you couldn’t stand to sit in it.

The stay was nice. Everything was clean and well kept. The lobby lacked interest, but I didn’t stay in the lobby.
