I am a bacon lover. But as I get older, I am constantly looking for ways to enjoy meals with less fat and calories. Butterball Turkey bacon has been a staple in my house for the past three years.
It has the same smoky-hickory flavor as
regular bacon, but without so much of the grease and fat. The uncooked slices look a little weird-sort of like plastic replicas of real bacon.
But after they’re cooked and drained (there is some oil)-they taste just as good as their porky cousins.
One good thing ...
Can I refreeze turkey bacon that was thawed but not cooked? It`s still sealed in the package.
No, you shouldn’t refreeze this turkey bacon or any or poultry once it’s thawed. The package won’t have an affect on this.

Your bacon will only be as good as it was when you put in the freezer, so don’t try to cheat time by freezing old bacon. The quality won’t be good, and it could put you at risk for food poisoning. While freezing does stop bacterial growth, it doesn’t kill the bacteria that’s already on the bacon.
Please note, as per one advisory of the USA Department of Agriculture, thawed turkey bacon should not refreezed.
