  • The cost of the food was also very reasonable the meal for five plus drinks came to just over ten pounds which I thought was good value we all had a drink each as well
  • Overall I would recommend this place as somewhere to go if you are out and about in the centre of Tewkesbury and are looking for somewhere nice to have afternoon tea or a light healthy lunch

Whilst we were walking round Tewkesbury town centre last Christmas with the Kids and with Lyndsey Mom we stumbled on a coffee shop in the back the bakery. As the weather had just taken a turn for the worst we decided to duck inside and have a spot of lunch and take shelter from the wind and the rain shower that was passing over head.

The café was at the back of the shop and was down a small step and through a small corridor which we just managed to fit Josh’s pram through. There are about ten small tables in the café

and a couple that are out the back in a small court yard but it wasn’t the weather to try those. The café was quite busy but we managed to squeeze into the corner with the five of us.

There was a good choice of food on offer from the typical sandwiches to stuffed potatoes and also soup and a roll. Lynds, her mom and I all had stuffed potatoes with differing fillings. I had cheese and beans which tasted great. Kurt just had a cheese sandwich and a ginger bread man which he loved.

The food was very quick to arrive ...

      • but on the sandwich was freshly prepared. The potatoes were in one of those big potato ovens and the filling were already made up. This however didn’t detract from the food it was still very filling and very tasty.

The cost of the food was also very reasonable the meal for five plus drinks came to just over ten pounds which I thought was good value we all had a drink each as well.

The restaurant was very clean and so was the shop that you have to walk through to get to the café for that matter. The staff were

all very helpful and the food arrived very quickly even though the shop and the café were very busy.

Overall I would recommend this place as somewhere to go if you are out and about in the centre of Tewkesbury and are looking for somewhere nice to have afternoon tea or a light healthy lunch. There isn’t anywhere specific to park other than the normal car parks within the centre of Tewkesbury but the café and shop are easily accessible from any of them. This is somewhere we have used a couple of times since and is somewhere we will continue to use in the future.
