Dead Mary is yet another straight to DVD release where a group of twenty-something kids get stranded in the woods when they go for a weekend party. One of the characters decides to invoke the ghost of Dead Mary, a local witch who was killed. The ghost gets loose and begins inhabiting the bodies of

each character until they go crazy and start to turn on each other.

I’d like to say there was a big twist in this movie that I never saw coming, but it’s basically just the same movie I’ve seen a million times. The Bloody Mary urban legend doesn’t appear a lot in horror movies so ...

      • I thought this might be interesting, but it was actually pretty boring. Dominique Swan is the “known” face in the movie, but she wears the same expression throughout the entire movie. I actually wasn’t sure if she was supposed to be possessed or just a witch because she looked like both. The ending was moderately
        interesting, but nothing spectacular.

The movie felt really long and I kept checking to see how much time was left because it felt like it should be over soon, but it would actually be another 45-60 minutes left. It felt a lot longer than it was and it was hard enough to get through the movie.
