First Knight” is the movie where we see Richard Gere with a sword. This movie floored a lot of women as Gere’s impersonation of a Knight is not something we see everyday and definitely not something to ignore easily! Another handsome man in this movie is Sean Connery. His interpretation of

King Arthur is unique. At some point during this movie, you can’t help but feel sorry for him.

The story of this movie is about Lancelot (Gere) who unexpectedly falls in love with Lady Guinevere (Julia Ormond). Only there is one small obstacle: Lady Guinevere is promised to marry King Arthur (Connery).

      • The love triangle complicates when Lancelot is asked to asset King Arthur in fighting the enemies.

At some point in time, Mel Gibson had to interpret Lancelot. The director of this movie had to be Terence Young but unfortunately he died during pre-production work. This could have been a great reunion for

Young and Connery as 30 years previously they worked on the James Bond project “Thunderball”. The director of this movie ended up to be Jerry Zucker, who did equally a great job out of it.

First Knight” is the action and romantic movie where Gere, Ormond and Connery give one of their greatest interpretations.
