In an attempt to entice customers to switch their cellular phone providers from other competing companies and come over to Sprint, the executives at Sprint have recently decided to try a new concept in marketing their wireless service which relies on word of mouth. They would do this by pulling up the data regarding every corporate account that is currently doing business with Sprint and send out pamphlets to every person who receives service through that corporation telling them that Sprint is offering corporate discounts for the company in which they work. Of course, the person who gets the mail already knows that they are getting a corporate discount for being an employee of the company which does business with Sprint so what would the purpose of this be? Well, the pamphlet asks you as an employee who
is enjoying the perks of your employers deal with Sprint to pass on the word about the discount to your fellow employees. They want for you to get out and tell your co workers that since they work at this company they are eligible to receive up to a 30 % discount on their monthly phone bill.
This is done to get employees of the company talking, they feel that word of mouth is the best way to get people to sign up for any service and if they can get you to speak about the service that you receive and how wonderful it is in addition to the discount that you receive since you are an employee of this company then you will be providing the stronger testimony that they could possibility hope for.
