Elation Cruise Ship Mexican Riviera Cruise

This was our first cruise we have taken. This is 10 day Mexican Riviera Cruise, which goes to Porta Varta, Maztalan and Cabo San Lucas.

The cruise ship was docked at Ports a Call in Long Beach, CA. Prior to boarding the ship we checked in at the reservation desk. There they let you know what to expect on board. One thing you want to do is to purchase their credit card, this is much easier than taking cash on board. You put as much money as you want on this card and you can use it anywhere on the ship for all your purchases. While on board the ship you can always add to it and find out what your balance is.

Once on board your purser takes you to your

cabin, he or she is the purser you will have for the duration of your 10 days. They come in and clean your room for you and make sure you have all you need. On board you have all kinds of restaurants, casino, several night clubs, great shows to see. You can jog on the upper deck; there is a weight room for your exercise and a spa for relaxation.

Our first stop is Porta Vearta, this takes two and half days on sea. There you have about 12 hours to venture into the city take a tour to various locations. Buy all your souvenirs, have lunch, dinner, and what every you enjoy. Make sure your back on board at the time indicated because the ship will leave on time with you or without you.

Next stop is Matzalan; there you have ...

      • about 6 hours. Again you can go into town there, you can also purchase tours on board the ship. We took a cab and the driver spoke English, makes a big difference to be able to communicate with them. They know all the places to visit and see the sites. We were able to drive along the coast, a very beautiful drive and so much to see. All the rock formation that is just off shore is amazing how it was formed.

Next stop is and last one is Cabo San Lucas. Not as much time there to spend, but was a beautiful site to see. One of the sites to see is called “Lands End”; there you will see the famous natural arch. This is located at the southern most tip end of Baja. We took a boat out to

get a closer look at the arch, as you head towards the arch you go by the famous Lovers Beach. At low tide there are several people who stay on the beach area till the tide comes back in. At the arch the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean come together. It’s quite a site to see!

Once you board the ship by 4pm your on your way home. This is a two and half day trip back up to Long Beach. We went into the spa and relaxed, had a few drinks, saw a few shows. You can even watch TV in your room if you just want stay in for awhile.

We plan on taking another cruise; it is so relaxing and enjoyable. I know you will like the sites and all the ship has to offer.
