I took my entire family to see the Pixar movie Wall-E in June, 2008. Wall-E is a spectacular motion picture that is probably the most “adult” of any movie Pixar has released thus far. I say “adult” not because of any inappropriate content - the little robots are very family

Wall-E raises questions about the environment and how humans are stewards of the Earth and everything on it. Wall-E also raises interesting questions about the benefits and vices resulting from technological progress. Other than its surprisingly deep philosophical questions, Wall-E is also a visual marvel with such realistic backgrounds that one quickly forgets he is watching a computer generated movie. The storline is equally compelling. Each word the little robots say is so important because there

are so few words spoken. Instead of throwing everything but the kitchen sink at the viewer, Wall-E is cautious in what it gives us, forcing us to digest every last morsel.

Wall-E was one of the best movies in the Pixar line, perhaps right under my personal favorite, The Incredibles. I give it a 9.
