If you’re a resident of Atlanta (or even if you’re just visiting) and you’re looking for a club vibe very much like the clubs in Boho New York city, then you really should check out MJQ Concourse. A lot of people have heard of MJQ, but don’t know where it’s located.

More than likely, they’ve probably passed it because

it’s actually located under the ground.

Parking near MJQ can be kind of tricky.

The side streets quickly fill up.

And if you don’t park in the paid lots ($5), then you run the risk of being towed, if you’ve parked in front of the one of the neighboring businesses.

The entrance looks like a tool shed with ...

      • lots of writing on it.

And once you pay at the door, you walk down this incline, which looks like you’re entering a tunnel.

At any rate, there are two rooms, each with DJs and on any given night you might hear 80’s new wave, or downtempo trip-hop, ultra cool house and much more.

        The people are into

having a good time, instead of just “being seen”.

The drinks are strong and inexpensive (only paid $4 for a great Rum&Coke).

As more people hear about it, more “trendy” people start coming.

But in general, it’s a place you can “fall into” at one in the morning, hang and dance for a while, and then truck it on home.
