The Gospel of John is my favourite of all four gospels because, rather than focussing on historical facts like the other three, it goes deeper into Jesus’s teachings and philosophy. From the very beginning, it tries to explain the world through what later is was going to become the Christian creed. It explains that
Jesus is the Son of God and the incarnation of the Word, who has existed from the beginnings of all times. Rather than seeing just the present time, the author sees the whole perspective, from the beginning to the end and emphasizes Christ’s important role in it.
