I attended the American Idol Live Tour in Chicago, IL in the All State Arena. The show started at 7pm, although many fans came out early to greet the Idols and get their autographs. The show was organized as a mini concert for each of the Idols.

They performed in the order in which they got eliminated, building up the excitement for the clear crowd favorites, David Cook (winner) and David Archuleta (runner up). Without

the constant pressure of the judges the Idols did a phenomenal job entertaining the crowd.

People of all ages truly enjoyed the show, cheering for their favorites with die-hard passion. Each of the Idols stepped up their game and chose the songs that worked for them.

Chikeze and Ramiele started the show off right performing up beat songs complete with some dance moves. Michael Johns just rocked; he had the crowd (and me) on its ...

      • feet screaming their heads off.

Kristy Lee performed some country song, which I wasn’t too keen on as well as “God Bless America” which was better. Carly was truly amazing, her voice is just so big and powerful, she sent chills up our arms.

Brooke’s songs were pretty mellow in my opinion, but they really fit her personality. Jason was mellow as well, playing his ukulele like a pro.

He really is better without the

pressure of the show. Syesha’s microphone completely failed through the first song, but as she got that problem fixed she delivered her next two songs with such vigor, leaving us all in awe of her talent.

David Archuleta and David Cook finished off the show with loud cheers from the audience. Overall, a great show that is entertaining for the whole family.

The experience is worth well over the price of the tickets.
