The Number 23, directed by Joel Schumacher is rated R by the Motion Picture Association of America for violence, disturbing images, sexuality and language. The oroginal release date was February 23, 2007 for United States audience. This movie falls in the genre of Mystery/Thriller and stars Jim Carrey as Walter Sparrow aka Fingerling, Viginia Madsen as Agatha Sparrow aka Fabrizia, Logan Lerman as Robin Sparrow and Danny Huston as Isaac French

      aka Dr. Miles Phoenix.

Confusion will come over when when you initially watch this thriller that borders on horror. Walter has a case of amnesia when he hit his head when trying to commit suicide but survived the fall of jumping off a building. Now a completely different man, he finds a novel that he thinks completely describes himself like in a past life scenario. Everything rotated around a specific number…the Number ...

      • 23, the significance of that number overwhelms this movie as it takes a downward spiral into utter disaster. It was not long after that he was informed that the novel wasn’t about him, but it was actually he who wrote it as a biography of himself and the life he lived before the attempted suicide.

Can you say…nut-job. I wasn’t really ready to start taking Jim so seriously in a role such

as this, and it’s just as well, as it didn’t grasp me as a very good movie anyway.

This is a movie that should have not be put into production, and even though it bombed at the boxoffice, it still didn’t do that much damage to the career of Jim Carrey. Hardly worth watching, but try it ob for size to see Jim in one of a few serious roles he has ever played.
