      The pies have always been existed the leading moment of the Greek traditional kitchen. The times that, our grand mothers with the poor cooking ingredients were making masterpieces of flavor and taste, have changed.

      Nowadays, to many of us time does not allow anymore the pleasure of making homemade pastry leaf.

      However, the pies are still among the most popular and beloved foods of Greek families.


      /> This is one of my favorites.

      You will need: 1 packet of frozen pastry leaf or two leaves of dough (even better if you know how to make it) ½ kilo any pasta you prefer, that could be penne/rigatoni/or spaghetti No 5 1 ½ cup fresh milk 1 cup margarine 100 gm gouda cheese 100 gm Edam cheese 300 gm feta cheese 6 eggs ½ tea ...


      • spoon powder nutmeg Salt and pepper Boil the spaghettis/pasta for ten minutes and strain them.

        Put in a basin or large and deep pan the spaghettis, the eggs, the grated cheeses, ½ cup milk, nutmeg, salt, pepper and ½ cup margarine melted and tepid.

        Mix all ingredients very well; being careful you do not break the spaghettis.

        In an oven baking pan, spread some melted margarine,

        put 4-5 pastry leaves at the bottom, then on top add the 1/3 from the filling, pastry leaf, the remaining filling and finally all the remaining leaves, all spread one by one with the melted margarine.

        Stick the utmost of the pastry leaves with little water.

        Engrave the pie and pour on top of it, the remaining milk and the margarine after slightly mixing them together.

        Cook in the 200 degrees.

        You serve this pie warm.
