I was with Sprint for two years (not coincidentally, the length of one contract). The phones they offered were pretty cool, and of course you can get some nice ones for free if you sign a contract with them. But once that’s said and done, you’re on your own.
The single biggest problem with Sprint is the reception. I travel quite a bit, and consistently had trouble getting bars anywhere but outside in big cities.
I frequently compared my
recpetion to that of my friends with different service providers. They always got service when I could not. Even when I managed to have three bars, they would have five. Now maybe some people get lucky and the place they live has an abundance of Sprint towers.
But for those who are on the move to different places, it can get frustrating.
Another big complaint I have is the difficulty in getting a decent priced new phone.
