  • The single biggest problem with Sprint is the reception

I was with Sprint for two years (not coincidentally, the length of one contract). The phones they offered were pretty cool, and of course you can get some nice ones for free if you sign a contract with them. But once that’s said and done, you’re on your own.

The single biggest problem with Sprint is the reception. I travel quite a bit, and consistently had trouble getting bars anywhere but outside in big cities.

      I frequently compared my

recpetion to that of my friends with different service providers. They always got service when I could not.

Even when I managed to have three bars, they would have five. Now maybe some people get lucky and the place they live has an abundance of Sprint towers.

But for those who are on the move to different places, it can get frustrating. Another big complaint I have is the difficulty in getting a decent priced new phone.

      If your ...

      • phone is lost or damaged and Sprint comes up with an excuse for why it isn’t covered under their warrenty, you’re going to have to pay big bucks to get a new one. It doesn’t matter how loyal a customer you’ve been.

They’ve got you in the contract and have no incentive to lure you with nice deals. Expect to pay full price for everything.

So while that first phone you got was free with all the bells and

whistles, you might find yourself shelling out twenty bucks for an ancient, hard as a rock, walkie-talkie looking monstrosity with none of the cool accessories you’ve grown so fond of. Sprint is now trying to market all their cool features for internet use and other technological stuff.

The problem is these things all require reception, and they still haven’t put up the three billion towers apparently necessary to get a signal on their phones. Steer clear.

Any company is a better bet.
