Director Tim Burton has produced a funny, quirky abdication to writer Roald Dahl’s famous story Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This movie has only just come out in cinemas in Australia, in time for the school holidays. The story is about a young, generous boy named Charlie Bucket.

He lived with his Mum and two sets of grandparents

in a small humble home. Charlie and most of the other kids that live is his town are crazy about the local chocolate factories chocolate.

When a chance to win an exclusive tour through the chocolate factory came up Charlie did his utmost trying to win a golden pass. There are five golden tickets up for grabs and the last just so happens to be found by young Charlie Bucket.

      • Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
is among five young children who win a golden ticket for the tour.

Very quickly it is apparent that Charlie is the best behaved and less egocentric of the bunch. You see a relationship between Wonka and Charlie form very quickly as if Wonka knows that he is the best of the bunch.

      For Wonka will pass on

his empire to the child he wants to inherit his empire, unawares to the children. This move is not like the 1971 film.

In many ways this film is truer to the books portrayal of the characters. This is a great movie for the kids, but the adults will get more out of it by comparing the two movies and the book.
