  • Unfortunately both Kurt and I weren't feeling to great so instead of eating down in the restaurant we decided to order something from the room service menu
  • We all enjoyed our meals very much, which is saying something, as Kurt is very fussy
  • Overall I would recommend this hotel as a good place to say if you are using Birmingham Airport like we were or the Birmingham NEC, which is right next door to the hotel

We have used the Crowne Plaza Hotel Birmingham to stop at the Christmas before last when we were flying out to spend Christmas with my parents. We spent the previous night at Steve parents new house before driving back home to collect our suitcases and some presents to take with us.

We had pre booked the hotel a couple of months in advance to make sure we got he best rates on the room. We had planned to get there early but for one reason and another we didn’t arrive to quite about seven pm. We only had Kurt at the time and we had decided not

to bother ordering him a travel cot as most places we have stopped at they normally forget and they are too much hassle.

The bedroom was absolutely lovely it was a good size there was plenty of room for all of our suitcases. The bed was very large and comfy which was a bonus as Kurt was going to be staying in there with us too. There was also a pull out sofa bed but we decided against making that up.

Unfortunately both Kurt and I weren’t feeling to great so instead of eating down in the restaurant we decided to order something from the room service ...

      • menu. The menu looked absolutely lovely with plenty of choice, so we all choice what we wanted and Steve placed the order. The person on the other end of the phone taking the order was very polite and helpful reading the order back at the end to make sure it was right. The food can within twenty minutes, which was really quick we had, had visions of having to wait an hour before we were going to get fed. The food was great very tasty and very fresh. We all enjoyed our meals very much, which is saying something, as Kurt is very fussy.

did have a look down stairs at the restaurant to see what it was like and he said it looked lovely and the menu had lots of variety including what we had ordered of room service, there was also a good children’s menu.

The staff at the hotel were all very friendly, helpful and polite. The room and the public areas of the hotel were all very clean and modern looking and they grounds were well maintained. Overall I would recommend this hotel as a good place to say if you are using Birmingham Airport like we were or the Birmingham NEC, which is right next door to the hotel.
