I am reviewing the 2008 movie, Cloverfield. It stars a lot of no names. So it starts with this dude asked to tape this going away party for this guy.

He is to document what people say. So, he has the camera rolling all the time.

Everybody seems to be having a good time at this party, but then something terrible

happens. There is an explosion and chaos as something unseen attacks New York city.

Soon, the cast is running for their lives. It is a monster.

It is destroying things and eating people. People cannot escape.

People run for their lives, but most don’t make it. Helicopters are taking people out of the city, but only a few make it.

      ...

      • We follow the main characters as they all try to escape. In the end, everyone dies.

I don’t know what to think about this movie. The first ten minutes are ridiculous and don’t mean anything.

It is supposed to be a plot builder, but all it really makes you do is be sick to your stomach. The camera jolts all

over the place, and makes you want to vomit.

The film does get better after that, but not much. I like films with good endings, but everyone ends up dying.

That’s not much of an ending. The acting is fine and the whole thing is a bit freaky, so if you’re looking to be freaked out and sick, then I would check out Cloverfield.
