  • Kid Rock is one of my all time favorite recording artists for a wide variety of reasons
  • He is the only artist I know who can create a perfectly unique album consisting of mellow classics mixed in with explicit lyrics, metal, country, hip-hop, rap, what is it
  • However, if you are a fan of honesty and true passion for music, then you need not look any further than that of the notorious Kid Rock

      My Personal Rating - 5/5

My Personal Opinion: Kid Rock is one of my all time favorite recording artists for a wide variety of reasons. He is the only artist I know who can create a perfectly unique album consisting of mellow classics mixed in with

explicit lyrics, metal, country, hip-hop, rap, what is it? This is unique; this is the NOTORIOUS K.I.D, Kid Rock. There is only one Kid Rock, and there is only one genre of music that he fits into, and that is his own.

Slowing things down, The Kid begins to realize his roots and shys away from his generic hip hop beats that he became famous for during his early career. This time he begins to focus more on mixing in country in with metal, but still with his hip hop roots at the same time. How can that be done you may be thinking, there is only one way to explain it, Kid Rock. Enough Said. You need to listen to the album to understand it, you need to listen to the album to realize the true uniqueness of the man, the artist and the legend of the multi-genre-jumping American bad*ss.

Cocky was generally the album that started Kid Rock’s mainstream career in the world of music. He was before this known as a sole hip-hop artist achieving minimal success, but Cocky marked the beginning of a new era of notoriousness, the era of the Kid. Featuring harmonic and epic duets with the likes of Sherly Crow, and then explicit combinations with the likes of Snoop Dogg, only Kid Rock can achieve two goals in one album, and he does so with sheer and utter perfection, like no other.

Cocky stands right at the top of my list as one of my all time favorite albums. Its just even better that Kid Rock is the man to record it. The Kid just seems ...

to improve album after album with each one that he makes that goes by. His most latest release, Rock and Roll jesus was simply epic, but you have to go back and see where it all started, and to do that you have to listen to Cocky. You have to listen to every word, every beat and every rhyme from the inside to understand exactly what it is all about, the understand the true passion that this man sings about.

This is Kid Rock’s life, heart, soul and PASSION all in one album, but beware, this is not one for the entire family. Very much explicit content, but very much worth it! Top notch album from a top notch artist.

Kid Rock is often doubted for his vulgar and explicit lyrics, but really, he is only singing

his true passion with no sugar coating what-so-ever. It says on the cover of all of his albums; basically, do not purchase it if you are easily offended. However, if you are a fan of honesty and true passion for music, then you need not look any further than that of the notorious Kid Rock. Simply because, whatever words he speaks, he backs up like nobody else can, or hardly ever does.

Give him credit where credit is due, you have to respect such a unique man with such a unique genre of music. Kid Rock certainly is truly in a league of his own, and this album illustrates perfectly that my words are indeed true and spoken with a hunred and ten percent respect. He will always stand at the top as one of my favorite artists, and this album will always be one of my all time favorites.
