Bang Khae District, Bangkok, Thailand
  • However, I think the weather is quite hot for westerners and sunshine burns my skin (I do not think SPF50 is good enough)
  • Visiting there is like a break from serious work and boring city where people do not smile at other people

Travelers who come to Thailand always visit Pattaya, Phuket, Chiangmai, and some parts of Bangkok. I just want introduce you the part that not many travelers come visiting, which is Bang Khae. The easiest way to come is by taxies, just tell the driver you want to go to Bang Khae market.

Bang Khae market is the biggest shopping place in the area. There are various products like vegetables, fish, clothes, etc.

      You will find that buying

stuffs here is a lot cheaper than buying from other markets. Moreover, there is a big computer store which all sellers always give some discount for you (they are very friendly and helpful.

) Along Phetkasem Rd. where the market is located in, there are canals called Bang Khae canal and Bang Wak canal.

You can rent a boat or a long-tail boat to row or hire a driver to take you to visit orchid gardens, eat Thai ...

      • food or even go to Chaopraya River. The driver cannot speak English very well, but that is okay.

However, I think the weather is quite hot for westerners and sunshine burns my skin (I do not think SPF50 is good enough. ) In orchid garden, you can buy orchids in a very cheap price.

The gardeners are very nice and try to speak English. You will find some people row boats to go to work in their

gardens or to sell stuffs like meatballs, grilled chicken, ice- cream, etc.

They are always smiling and chatting. I think that is because they are happy with their simple lives.

Some gardeners will give you the opportunity to try gardening. It is not that hard but according to the weather, I am all sweaty.

Visiting there is like a break from serious work and boring city where people do not smile at other people. It is peaceful and livable.
