The Beastmaster, directed by Don Coscarelli is rated PG by the Motion Picture Association of America. The original release date was August 20, 1982 for United States audience. This movie falls in the genre of Action/Adventure/Fantasy and stars Marc Singer as Dar, Tanya Roberts as Kiri, Rip Torn as Maax, John Amos as Seth, Joshua Milrad as Tal and Rod Loomis as

      King Zed.

Recreation of the TV series of the same name, this movie takes a small hero and turns him legendary in this mystical take of magic and revenge.

Young Dar has special powers that allow him to communicate with the beats of the land and air. Through their eyes he can see very far distances and he also commands their powers as his ...

      • own. Once summoned, he can become virtually unstoppable.

This movie was alot better when it was just a small TV series, it had a better following of people, and as soon as it came out for the silver screen, it just lost its appeal. Soon after the movie period ended, they tried to do another spin off from this movie back into TV

style, but it didn’t make the grade.

The movie itself was really really god, there are no complaints in that regard. The plot was very solid, casting of characters was on point and it did deliver on the entertainment value, but, just like many other movies, it came out far to early for it’s time and didn’t get the recognition that it could have.
