Drowning Mona is a very funny movie inspite of the fact that a lady dies in the very opening scene. The woman is Mona and Bette Midler played the character in a very convincing and powerful way.

She dies in the very first scene when her car falls in the river and the reason for her death will be found

to be the failure of the brakes of her car.

Clarence is a man who sits at the side of river and who fishes there and he sees her drowning in the river.

Chief Vyatt played by Danny DeVito takes up her case and the problem he faces is that everyone is under suspicion.

Everyone of her family and people ...

      • who know her seem to hate her and he gets convinced that everyone has reason to kill her and he gets confused to know the real murderer.

Her husband or her son doesn’t get upset by hearing her death news.

There are some more people related to them who also feel happy about her death.

        Finally Wyatt discovers that her

husband tried to kill her and on the same day her husband dies.

After many suspicions and some drama, at the end Clarence confesses that he killed Mona’s husband and says that he saw him trying to make the brakes of Mona’s car fail on the day before she died.

It is an interesting movie and has comedy and mystery elements in it.
