  • The Evil Minion is definitely a very popular gun for speedball player across the nation
  • I personally don't recommend buying the gun, because if you're really interested in getting a good speedball gun, you can get a better gun for less money if you shop around a bit more
  • Most people would like to believe that Evil is about the best name in paintball, primarily since they're really high up in most tournament games, and they win often
  • The gun itself was actually made by Proto, a company which I hold at a higher level than Evil, because Evil is all hype and their products cost way too much money with the exception of gear such as pants and jerseys, because they'll have to meet competition's standards
  • I believe most of this is just because these higher end guns are really electronic and break easily

The Evil Minion is definitely a very popular gun for speedball player across the nation. However, there are a few reasons why it’s so popular. These reasons may not be necessary, however, people will continue to buy these extremely high and overpriced gun because of these things. I personally don’t recommend buying the gun, because if you’re really interested in getting a good speedball gun, you can get a better gun for less money if you shop around a bit more.

The brand of this gun is really what sells it. Most people would like to believe that Evil is about the best name in paintball, primarily since they’re really high up in most tournament games, and they win often. Their paintballs are also known as “the most winningest paint in tournament history”. Of course this doesn’t really say much directly about the gun, but it gives people some huge hype about a brand that’s really not all that great. In fact, Evil doesn’t even make the majority

of their own products, they’re taken from other brands and made into custom Evil products with a few adjustments, normally just to the appearance, to make it look “Evil”.

This gun isn’t even manufactured entirely by Evil, in fact, hardly any of it was actually built directly by Evil. The gun itself was actually made by Proto, a company which I hold at a higher level than Evil, because Evil is all hype and their products cost way too much money with the exception of gear such as pants and jerseys, because they’ll have to meet competition’s standards. This gun is manufactured by Proto, and is nearly an exact replica of a marker that Proto offers to the public, for less than half the price that the Evil Minion is sold for. Of course when I purchased this gun I wasn’t aware of that. I just assumed that since it was made by Evil, it had to be about the best out there. Evil just buys these guns,

      • turns them into “Evil” guns, and then sells them for twice the price. I’m not sure why they do this, but obviously if people keep buying them, Evil will continue selling them. People are more interested in having an Evil brand gun than they are in making a smart shopping decision.

The accuracy of this gun was horrible for me. I rarely hit people because I had quite a bit of paint break. Seriously, if you’re looking for some accuracy, go with a woods ball or scenario paintball gun. They’re much better on accuracy, are much more reliable, and are better guns if you ask me overall. If you’re to see the maximum performance of this gun, you’re going to need to get either Evil paint or some of the best paintballs out there, to avoid barrel breaks and chops. Of course the gun comes with an eye, but the wiring for the eye broke for me after using the gun just twice. Never take this gun out

into the cold, it really can’t handle it. It’s made with electronic parts that just love to break and fail when it gets to any kind of cold out.

One more thing I didn’t really like much about this gun was the fact that you can’t use co2 in it. Like all “high end” guns, the rate of fire is simply too fast to use co2, because it will cause internal parts to freeze. I believe most of this is just because these higher end guns are really electronic and break easily. I would recommend buying a different gun if you’re not interested in spending tons of money for air tanks and fills.

Overall, this is a horrible gun for the price. Of course it has a great rate of fire, but expect ball chops if you’re not going to use the best paint out there. I recommend getting a different gun, specifically a more reliable gun. If you must get a speedball gun, get an Ion or a Proto.
