I ended up buying the book, “The Kite Runner” by Khaled Hosseini because I was sure that I read a nice review about it. I found the story of this book very gripping till the last pages with Hosseini’s great way of story telling.

The story of “The Kite Runner’ is mainly based in Afghanistan and it narrates the life

of Amir and his relationship with two important persons in his life his father Baba and a friend, Hassan. The way he interacted with Baba and Hassan affected his life from early childhood till later on as a grown up man.

Apart from the fact that the author has exception English skills, I really enjoyed the way he ...

      • divided the story in this book to separate paces. The first part about the early childhood of Amir is narrated at a slow pace while from the middle of the book the story proceeds at a very fast pace.

The first two chapters of the book are very gripping and it really comes across that the author paid great attention

on how to put the wordings in order to make you read the rest of the story. I also liked how he linked certain aspects of the early childhood of Amir to the final ending.

“The Kite Runner” is a must read book which is not just about Afghanistan but most of all is about life, humanity, dignity and honour.
