A silent samurai enters a desolate japanese town where two criminals leagues fight constantly against each other and terrorises the innocent people living there.

The samurai, who is an excellent swordsman, becomes their Yojimbo (bodyguard) and takes out the leagues against each other in a very clever way.

      • This is the same story Sergio Leone used a couple of years later in Fistful of Dollars, but the narrative and imagery is completely
different in Kurosawa’s film Yojimbo. Toshiro Mifune is amazing (almost as amazing as Clint Eastwood in Fistful of Dollars) as the swordsman. One of Kurosawa’s masterpieces.
