Documentary by the legendary filmmaker William Wyler, known for films like The Best Years of Our Lives, Ben Hur and Roman Holiday. This film was made during World War II and shows the daily life of the

crew inside a gigantic airplane taking out missions in nazi Germany. The film shows the 25th and last mission this crew went through with. It’s fascinating to have an insight like this to the american war spirit ...

      • and military structure and I see what Wyler wanted to achieve with his film. However, the content of the film never reaches the height where the viewer come into perfect understanding of the reality and see things
beyond sight. This is something the great documentary filmmakers like Morris, Petri, Herzog etc does to perfection. Wyler’s film is interesting on one hand, but it doesn’t show enough to start any real brain activity in my head.
