Taxi Driver, directed by Martin Scorsese is rated R by the Motion Picture Association of America. The original release date was February 8, 1976 for United States audience. This movie falls in the genre of Crime/Drama/Thriller and stars Robert De Niro as Travis Bickle, Cybill Shepherd as Betsy, Peter Boyle as Wizard, Jodie Foster as Iris Steensma and Harvey Keitel as Sport Matthew.

Robert De Niro takes us on a roller

coaster ride that spans the mental cycle of a Vietnam war veteran. His mental condition worstens when he is continuously neglected and rejected by his feminie interests. Things elevate to a point of sheer insanity when he starts to take matters into his own hands, and decides to start ridding the streets of the potential decadent society.

He turns inward and reinvents himself as a maniac designed for destruction. No one ...

      • is safe from his wrath as his job takes him all over and he sees everything…

This movie goes to show what war and society can do in regards to a person state of sanity. You don’t need to look very far to notice that there is alot of disgusting elements in the world at large, and woe be unto the individual who takes up a vigilente stance and decides to

dish out his own share of justice.

De Niro is a typical case of a person’s well-being under question. He has lost grip with rational reality and has slipped into an awaken coma when he started to do the things he did.

There are some magnificent films created and this one shares the fame and fortune as one of them. Great cast, great plot, masterful execution and a movie well made. Enjoy!
