      Collateral, 2004. Vincent (Tom Cruise), a hitman, comes to LA to take care of five “targets.

      ” He hires a taxi, offering the driver a large sum to take him to all five locations.

      Max (Jamie Foxx), the cabman, unsuspecting at


      first, takes the job.

      Then he learns that the nicely dressed “real estate agent” he’s driving around is actually a hired killer.

      Vincent himself coolly reveals it to him, after the first job, and explains that Max will drive him to the remaining four, whether he likes it or not.

      Max, a quiet, timid kind of a man who spends most of his time daydreaming, must find a way to survive.

      Both Cruise and Foxx are excellent in their roles of two very different men thrown together in this bizarre situation.

      The hitman feels compelled to explain his views on human life, so they have

      some philosophical discussions.

      They study and analyze each other, each in his own way.

      The plot might sound as that of an action movie, but it is actually not so: we see mostly Vincent and Max, not action scenes, and it never gets boring.
