Castleton Salisbury Stakes have long been my solution for a quick, tasty, and cheap homemade meal. I buy them at Aldi’s, they are less than $2 for a 2 lbs pack of 6 steaks plus gravy.

      The steaks are very easy

      to cook.

All you need to do is: 1) take the tray with the stakes out of the box; 2) remove the protective plastic film; 3) place the tray on a baking sheet; 4) set your oven to 375 degrees; 5) ...

      • place the steaks into the oven, on the middle rack, and 6) set the timer for 55-66 minutes.

That’s it! The stakes are also microwaveable, but I have never cooked them that way.

The stakes turn out very soft and juicy.

The box says “char-broiled,” and they kind of look and taste that way.

Since they come with gravy, I usually make mashed potatoes to go with them.

The Castleton Salisbury Stakes are to be kept frozen until they are ready to use, and not to be refreezed.
