When a plane crashes in the middle of the Sahara desert, the people on board are seemingly left beyond rescue, but it appears one of the passengers is an
airplane constructor and is able to rebuild the plane they where travelling in.
This is definitely not one of Robert Aldrich’s better films. Even though actors like James Stewart ...
and Richard Attenborough does their job with honors, the whole story lacks engagement, and it’s way too drawn out which makes it difficult to watch without boredom. The whole
thing seem to me like a stage-like production without imagination. The story is actually rather interesting, but the slow tempo and theatrical style makes nothing interesting of it I’m afraid.
