This is the first episode of Naruto that is completely pointless, obnoxious, and downright nauseating. In my many rewatches of the show I always skip this episode.

Instead of continuing the story this episode has Konohamaru and his two friends show up at the location of the second exam to interview ninja for a piece in

      the school newspaper.

As if a newspaper written by kindergarteners wasn’t boring enough, this episode does not even add anything new to the story.

Basically this episode sums up the previous twenty-five episodes in fifteen minutes, showing clips of the different characters in a sort of summary format, like we could forget who Naruto was in ...

      • so few episodes, and clips of every jutsu or ninja technique that has been used in the show so far, which by this point in the show there really isn’t any technique that is overly impressive unless you just really like seeing Naruto’s sexy jutsu and are willing to watch a whole episode for a ten
second glimpse at a semi-naked cartoon girl.

The remaining five minutes of episodes dedicated to cheesy one-liners and stupid questions.

Sasuke and Naruto get into a little fight, Naruto throws a fit because they are interviewing all the ninja and not just him.

All in all, after watching this episode just once I truly felt stupider.
