I am reviewing the movie, Around the Bend, starring Michael Caine, Josh Lucas, and Christopher Walken. This movie is about common, everyday things.

It is about a young father who is taking care of an older man in his house, while trying to raise his young boy at the same time.

His father abandoned him when he was but

a boy, and so he never had the father he’d always wanted.

But he does a fine job of raising his son by himself.

One day, out of the blue, his father shows up on his doorstep.

Needless to say, things don’t go very well.

However, his father is introduced to his grandson, and fences start to be mended.

      ...

      • When the old man dies in the house, he leaves a request at KFC that they all follow this chain of KFC’s across the United States, until they reach a final destination: the place where the event started…the event that made Lucas’ father disappear on him years ago.

This movie is about the power of forgiveness and the ability to

        move on.

It is a different movie, but I really like it.

Christopher Walken is fantastic as the dead beat dad.

Josh Lucas was as good as ever, as was Michael Caine.

I highly recommend this movie to anyone who wants to see a different kind of movie.

I promise you’ll enjoy it, if not wonder about it days after you’ve seen it.
