“Hostel”, “FearDotCom”, “The Ring”—If you’ve seen any of the following movies, then you will be more than prepared for this tale of psycho-twisted horrific suspense. At the helm of this mini-gore feast is Diane Lane, claiming the role of a slightly wizened FBI agent.

She’s lost none of the smoldering, underrated sex appeal that she demonstrated in “Unfaithful.

” But in this film, she trades motherly suburbia for

motherly suburbia, in another film where the people close to her end up dying.

This film follows a twisted killer who has decided to have his victims’ deaths posted on line for the world to enjoy.

The catch? The more people who log on, the faster the victims die.

The hacker has stumped local police, and even the FBI, as his computer savvy has helped him to elude ...

      • those trying to track his coveted ISP.

The killings are gruesome, perhaps not as grisly as those relegated to the Hostel or Saw films.

But where those films’ gore sets off the XXX-splatter factor, these killings are a comfortable “R.

” In any event, the story itself is quite entertaining.

Once you get to the real reason behind the horrible deaths, you will probably find the plot semi-fascinating.

There is one problem with this film (outside of the drab cinematic color scheme) - and that’s the “too-neat” ending.

As Diane Lane’s character gets inevitably caught in the cat-and-mouse game, we find that her designated torture is somewhat tame compared to the previous victims.

Watch this film because it is a decent carbon-copy of other cinematic thrills.

Don’t expect anything too riveting, and you shall not be disappointed.
