Diary of a Mad Black Woman, directed by Darren Grant is rated PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association of America for drug content, thematic elements, crude sexual references and some violence. The original release date was February 25, 2005 for United States audience. This movie falls in the genre of Comedy/Drama/Romance and stars Kimberly Elise as Helen, Steve Harris as Charles,

Shemar Moore as Orlando, Tiffany Evans as Tiffany, Cicily Tyson as Myrtle and Tyler Perry as Brian, Madea and Joe.

Helen is married to trial laywer Charles, she comes to the harsh realization that he is cheating on her when he comes home with another woman and literally throws her (Helen) out on the street. Helen has to call on Madea to take her in until she can find footing for herself.

husband, Helen shows him the type of woman she really is and opens his eyes to what he lost.

While at Madea’s, Helen get to fall very fond of Orlando…the truck driver who took her stuff from when she was thrown out of her own house. They strike up a very strong bond and it has the potential to lead to a

Throw in some laughter from the comedic mind of Tyler Perry and you have a buffet of goodness for all to enjoy. It is actually a very serious movie, but, it doesn’t want to be taken too seriously, if you follow what I’m saying.

You will be challenged to consider what emotion you want to bask in…and believe me, you will be challenged.
