Lake Tahoe is one of the most beautiful, deepest and coldest lakes to visit. Many people still swim and ski on the lake but if you are going to travel there for that purpose just remember it is very cold!

On the south lake side are the casinos for your gambling pleasure and if you have kids with you you’ll want to check out the arcade that runs under the street from Harveys Casino. There are every kind of arcade enjoyment for kids and adults.

There are snack bars for food and drinks if

anyone get hungrey. As you round the lake you’ll want to stop often to take in the sights.

Turn off at any viewing point for great pictures and surprises. There is an island in the lake with a stone sturcture once home to one of the charactors of lake lore.

From this point you can view the lake from short hike trails leading around the area. Keep driving around the lake stopping at Fanny Bridge in Tahoe City.

This is on the California side of the lake and there are no casino’s. But at ...

      • the bridge you will see people lined up to see the fish.

Large beautiful samon’s that come to the top of the water waiting for the daily feeding of bread from tourist. As you continue around the lake you’ll find many swimming a picnic areas.

Most of the beach areas are not smooth sand but fine pebbles. They don’t harm the feet, but it is not the same as beach sand as you enter the cold water or fight the birds flying overhead and diving for the sandwich you hold in your hand.

lake is filled with history in every section. At one time you boasted an old resort from the 40’s era and there is a museum with pictures.

One of the buildings is still in tact and you can tour it during the day. On the north side of the lake are several casino’s all of which have hosted some of the greats like Marily Monroe and Frank Sinatra.

The entertainment and history are limitless. You can go online and check for the Shakespearian festival and samon runs for outdoor events.

It is only a 30 minute drive to Reno for further entertainment.
