If you need a place to shop, which has every shop you need, then I would recommend the Merry Hill shopping centre Brierley Hill, West Midlands, UK. Merry Hill has over 250 shops to choose from including famous names like; Marks & Spencers, Debenhams, Mothercare, Next, Topshop, ASDA, Sainsbury’s, Wallis, BHS, Argos, Toys’r'us, HMV, Virgin, Game and Jane Norman just to name a few of the shops than I go to often. There are also plenty of places to go to have a drink or a bite to eat such as, MacDonald’s, Burger King, Subway, Pizza Hut, Macey’s and Spud U Like. As well as plenty of coffee shops and juice bars around so it is impossible to go hungry or thirsty. As well as plenty of shops

and eateries they have most of the high street banks such as Natwest, Lloyds, Nationwide, HSBC and Abbey in the banking quarter, but unfortunately there is no Barclays. There are also plenty of ATM’s dotted around the centre.

One big advantage of the Merry Hill Centre is that it is mostly indoors so when it is cold wet and windy it is a great place to go and shop. There are plenty of facilities for baby changing, for the disabled they rent out electric wheel chairs and they also rent out special car push chairs to keep the young kids happy. The baby changing facilities are excellent and we have found them very useful when we have been there with our two small kids, they also have places to warm ...

      • the baby bottles up and to feed the little babies if you don’t want to do that out in the malls.

Our two young ones enjoy the indoor and out door play area’s Kurt our 3 year old would quite happily spend all day playing if we didn’t drag him round the shops with us. There is a place where you can leave your elder ones to play if you wish while you go shopping. There are plenty of car parks dotted around the centre with spaces for around 9000 cars. The centre is open all day from 9am 9pm Monday to Friday and 9am 7pm Saturday with Sunday opening from 10am 5pm so if you can’t go during the daytime

there is still plenty of time to go at night. At Christmas there are lots of special surprises for the kids from Santa’s grotto to special shows, also the centre stays open long in the run up to Christmas.

There is also a 10-screen cinema at the centre but we are yet to use this because of our two small kids. We often go on a Sunday and have a walk around the shops and do some window-shopping Kurt normally has his face painted, which he loves. We normally start off in the old part of the centre ending up in the newer area to have a spot of lunch before going back through the centre. Merry Hill is the ideal place to go and shop with everything under one roof.
