I am reviewing the movie, The Odd Couple 2, starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. There are two movies in this series, and this is the second one. The first one is, naturally, called The Odd Couple, and it features a very young looking Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon.

In The Odd Couple 2, the two gentlemen are older and wiser. They haven’t seen each other in decades.

When Oscar gets a phone call

from his son, Bruce, who tells him that he plans on marrying Felix’s daughter, the two former friends are forced to be reunited for their kids’ wedding. As the two reunite, it isn’t long before trouble begins following them.

Immediately, Felix hurts his leg and his neck. He forgets his suitcase at the airport, he has to stop to pee every hour, and he’s got a phlegm problem.

If that isn’t bad enough, Oscar loses ...

      • the directions. The two guys find themselves in the middle of nowhere, which gets them into trouble with two women, who are on the run from their crazy husbands.

Along the way, Felix and Oscar end up in jail several times, picked up by the same deputies, and brought before the same sheriff again and again. Each time, they are picked by circumstance.

When everything seems like it’ll be back to normal, Oscar’s kid gets

cold feet and wants to cancel the wedding. In the end, everything gets resolved and friendships are restored.

Felix moves back in with Oscar, and the whole trouble starts all over again. Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau are classic examples of what a good actor is supposed to be.

The two of them are flawless in their roles. They really do have amazing chemistry.

It really shows on the big screen how much these two actors enjoy working together.
