This episode is where Law and Order Criminal Intent finally began to find its footing. Yet at the same time, it has a very familiar feel to it.

As you’re watching the episode, you start to wonder if you’ve seen it before on one of the other Law and Order series, and the chances

are good that you probably have seen something similar.

As the episode picks up, we find a woman in the hospital about to die.

At the last second she is saved by a nurse who seems a little suspicious.

Later the same woman dies at the hospital.

At the same time, a woman comes ...

      • to visit her own mother in the hospital, bringing along paperwork she needs the woman to sign.

A group of doctors meet and decide not to bring attention to the situation, yet a whistle blower sneaks off and calls in the police.

Eames and Goren arrive on the scene, and learn that someone has

poisoned three individuals in the hospital.

Later a class action lawsuit is filed and includes the woman we saw earlier in the hospital.

She is immediately a suspect in the murders because her husband died long before the other incidents.

The CI team must decide if she is to be blamed, or if she’s just another victim.
