Star Wars has seen a rebirth recently over the past few years in the gaming world. Most notably is the Knights of the Old Republic series that has become a cult favorite and resulted in countless spin offs from the series. Most recently a novel based off the Kotor games as emerged, written by Drew Karpyshyn, an writer for

the original Kotor; Path of Destruction picks up 3,000 years after Darth Revan. The story makes numerous references to the game, giving any former Kotor fan a sense of nostalgia.

Right from the start you sense a similar structure that follows the Kotor games in story and character development. The action is fast paced and the characters full of ...

      • fervor and passion. Now some might wonder how anyone not involved with the Kotor games will be able to enjoy the story, but it also connects with your typical sci-fi and Star Wars fan. The book also takes a more detailed look for those unfamiliar with the Old Republic, of the Star Wars universe, at the Sith and how
they interact with one another. Similarly, Path of Destruction gives a unique few into the development and transformation of Dark Lord that is not portrayed in many works with such great detail.

If you are looking for a fun read or just want to try out a new genre, I would definitely recommend this… hopefully the sequel will be as entertaining.
