The Partner is another excellent novel by John Grisham. As usual, Grisham is highly involved in writing stories based on the legal environment, may I add, with a lot of twists and drama.

Patrick Lanigan is a former lawyer and an upcoming partner in a Mississippi Law firm. Lanigan was married and

had a daughter. Unfortunately his marriage wasn’t doing great but he doesn’t seem to care.

Thinks change when he discovers a lot of things about his life and his family. It was a shock for him to get to know that he is not the natural father of his daughter and ...

      • that his partners are playing dirty.

In order to escape from his surroundings, Patrick creates a car crash. Six weeks after his death, $90 million disappear from the law firm and his partners are confident that he is still alive.

Patrick changes his physical image and escapes to Brazil. Here he is helped

by a female friend. But what happens when she disappears after a visit in London?

What I critics about this book is the fact that Grisham ends this story in a very rapid manner. I expected to read a happy ending however, be prepared, that the book ends on a very strange and dramatic note.
