During our vacation we stopped in Waco, TX and while we were filling up somebody told us about the Texas Ranger Museum. We weren’t in a big hurry so we decided to check it out. Both hubby and I are history buffs and this museum is full of Texas history.

      Adult tickets are

$6 and it includes all the exhibits and tour. The museum contains photographs, letters, badges, firearms, videos, movies and TV affiliated memorabilia, old souvenirs and premiums. You get a real feeling of admiration and respect for the Texas Rangers and the job they do during the tour.

The research center has many resources for people interested in genealogy or writers scripting stories or articles. The resource center has the names ...

      • of every Texas Ranger with a brief bio for each one. If you have a Texas Ranger in your ancestry this is a great place to do research. You can also order biographies online for a fee on their website. www.texasranger.org

The Hall of Fame memorializes many of the Texas Rangers whose integrity and responsibilities were instrumental in the Texas Ranger’s History. Many of these Rangers

died in the line of service and there is detailed information available.

This interesting museum is very educational, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. We spent a couple of hours at the Texas Rangers Museum and really enjoyed ourselves. If you live or are traveling near Waco, TX you might want to check it out, especially if you are interested in law enforcement or Texas history. Definitely worth the $6 admission price!
