Nightmare Man is an odd little horror movie that deserves to go straight to DVD. Thanks to the power of the After Dark Horror Fest though, it got a limited theatrical release before ending up on the video store shelves. I picked it up recently simply because I liked the

other movies they released in 2007.

When the movie starts, a pretty woman is opening a box that just arrived in the mail. It was supposed to be a fertility mask because she wants to have a baby. We also learn that her husband is impotent, and cannot have kids ...

      • though he treats her like a child. The mask she gets is extremely dark and actually begins to haunt her. After some time, her husband decides that it would better for her and everyone involved if she was sent to the mental institution.

On the way there, the car breaks

down and he leaves her alone. The Nightmare Man, the man who belongs to the mask arrives and chases her through the woods. She eventually finds help in the form of four friends in a cabin in the woods. The real nightmare begins when the friends let her into their lives.
