Located in the Hocking Hills Farmers Flea Market you will find Great expectations a ‘cafe, bookstore and more.’ Great Expectations offers the best coffee beverages in the Hocking Hills. From iced coffee drinks, to lattess and expresso. Great Expectations brews a delicious cup of coffee.

In addition to coffee, you can get desserts, and sandwiches as well as

soups at Great expectations. Everything is delicious, especally the turkey bacon wrap.

Also you can browse through a great collection of books from nationally known, and local authors. A nice selection of handmade jewlery, Hocking Hills accesories, and post and greeting cards are avilable at Great Expectations.

This cafe is open seven days a week, Year round.

      • calm atmosphere at Great Expectations, this is a great place to relax for a few minutes with a coffee and a newspaper. I feel at home at Great expectations, and I love the reasonable prices for quality goods. The staff is friendly, and the cafe is lovely. I really adore the outdoor patio, it is ideal for
        a nice spring day.

When in the Hocking Hills region, stop by Great Expectations for delicious coffee and food! As well as books and souvenires. Additionally it is great to support a local business, that is about a million times better than starbucks. The quality at Great expectations is superior to Starbucks and the prices are better also!

Under new ownership/management as of two years ago. Open six days a week - closed on Monday. Now carries pretty much exclusively Ohio artists and authors very community minded.

I eat here frequently and enjoy all items on the menu. I think their lattes are great, of which they have a small and large size. They serve gourmet coffee and grind it themselves. Since I drink coffee there frequently and have a choice of 5 different kinds already made up and waiting in thermoses to choose from or can place an order for a different flavor or even buy my own pound of coffee - ground or in beans, I feel they have a wonderful selection for any discriminating taste.

Their fresh made sandwiches and wraps are very tasty and they feature homemade soups and pastries. The owner bakes her own pies, cakes, and brownies.

The operation is family owned and you are greeted with the utmost care and service. Very attentive and willing to make you feel at home and appreciated. That is something that is lacking in many restaurants these days - care and good service. This place has both.

If I didn’t like the food and drink, I wouldn’t be in there all the time. Since I live locally, it is very handy for good food, conversation, and just “hanging out”.
