My daughter needed a kitchen cart for her small apartment kitchen. We looked at new carts at several places but they were all quite expensive and not the right size for her needs.

We checked online at IKEA where we found six kitchen carts made from stainless steel, two carts made from laminate, and

      some were wooden.

There were four different wooden carts priced from $49.99 to $199.99 The least expensive was the Bekvam at $49.99. The Varde sells for $79.99 and it was about the same size. It had one stainless steel shelf and stainless steel towel bars.

      • 33″ high and approx. 24″ x 19″) and the least expensive at $49.99 so we purchased it. This cart was very easy to assemble. The cart has two fixed legs and two legs with wheels so it can be easily moved around the kitchen. It’s very, very sturdy but not too
heavy. The Bekvam cart is made from solid birch and, besides the nice “butcher block” type of top, it has two shelves for additional storage.

The Bekvam kitchen cart from IKEA is perfect for any kitchen as an extra work surface plus extra storage. It’s a great buy and I highly recommend it!
