The Fulltone OCD is an overdrive pedal in the same mold as a Boss Bluesdriver or an Ibanez Tubescreamer. Every fulltone pedal is made by hand, and therefore expensive, but the quality is always worth it.

The Fulltome OCD pedal is the best overdrive I’ve ever gotten out of a

stompbox, and I have tried a lot. You can get very natural sounding overtones with the gain on low. You can use the pedal as a boost, if that’s what you desire. Or you can crank the gain and use it as a full out distortion.

The amp is also effectively two pedals in one, as there is a switch to change between Low Peak and High Peak mode. LP produces a smooth, Fender Tweed style overdrive, and HP is more distorted, more akin to a Marshall tone.

My rig is a Gibson SG classic and a Vox AC15,

CC. I like to run the Vox just on the edge of breakup and use the Fulltone for lead breaks. It works great for that. And if you’re running a very clean amp, like a Fender, the Fulltone can handle being your primary overdrive. It’s sensitive enough to
touch and dynamics to replicate the feel of a cranked tube amp.

The pedal is a little expensive, but it’s worth what it sells for. It totally outclasses competitors, expecially the Bluesdriver put out by Boss. The OCD is also true bypass, so it won’t muck up your signal chain.
