The Candlewood Suites in a nice place to stay. The front of the building has nice archeticture and is very appealing. The colors are tan brick and white plaster. There is a large blue canvas carport leading to the lobby. The landscaping is fairly simple and since the property is fairly new the shrubbery is small, but very healthy. The parking is quite extensive and very well kept.

The lobby is smaller than I expected but very nice. The carpeting is a brown grey and even though the colors in the room are all different. There are several mirrors in the lobby which makes the room look considerably bigger than what it is. The walls are light and dark tan striped. There are 4 loud high backed plaid cranberry and white chairs in the lobby. There are several end tables and metal lamps with large white lamp shades. There is one large chest of drawers and pictures all

over the place. The registration desk only had one person working it and it was taking a bit long to get registered to get my room. Finally, after I got registered and got my key. He was very friendly and appoligetic for the wait.

The Candlewood isn’t your average hotel. It is more mean’t for the person that needs a room more long term like several weeks. That is really nice because there are very few hotels that offer this. It is a very convenient place for the long term person. There is a place called the Cupboard which works like on your honor and is open even for night snacks. You just fill out a slip and it is added to you final bill. There is also a grill where you can grab a burger and grill it and there you are something to eat!

My room was really simple. It had a queen bed with a bed coverlet that looked ...

      • somewhat like the walls in the lobby. The carpeting was a pretty olive green, but I really didn’t like the color. Somehow it reminded me of a pair of pants you wear in the army. The walls were a light tan. The lights of the room were all on the wall, so if you wanted to turn the lights on or off you need to reach up flip the lights on that way. There is only one night stand. There is one table with an internet connection but it was small. I ended up laying a lot of my stuff on the bed. There was a phone in the room. There was a small fully equipped kitchen in the room. It was stocked with everything you could possibly need. Dishes, pots and pans and utensils. There was a good sized frig, a microwave, dishwasher and stove in the kitchen. There was a TV in the room with
VCR and DVD player which stood on a stand. There was an recliner on the opposite side of the room.

The bathroom was small but acceptable. The whole room was set up like a convenience apartment and that was OK. It was not a luxury room. The bath had a combination tub and shower. This place had one of the nicest showers I have ever used. It was because of the shower head. The head was very large with my shower holes and the water pressure was quite strong so it was very exhilarating. The towels were average, but the light in the room was really good. There was a wall mounted hair dryer in the room.

The Candlewood offers a guest laundry that is opened 24 hours to take care of all the laundry you can make dirty. The cost of washing soap and other stuff is pretty small so it is affordable to wash.

        Nice place, clean and convenient.
