I sometimes think that certain producers lack fantasy in coming up with original movies. “Freaky Friday” represent a movie about twisting identity in a series of three that came and are going to be released from Hollywood. We all remember Tom Hanks famous role in “Big” and he was simply great in that movie. Soon we will be watching Zach Efron in a very similar movie with the name “Seventeen”.

Well, “Freaky Friday” is the movie on

the same storyline. This is the third time this film has been made by Disney; the second time is ten years. The original was made in 1976 and it was remade for ABC television in 1995. One would think that we had enough watching it!

What makes this movie not exactly similar to Hanks’s movie is the excellent interpretation of the actresses, Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan. I must say that most of the credit should go ...

      • to Lee Curtis, considering that in the initial part of the movie Lohan interprets a difficult teenager which is pretty much what she is in real life!

In “Freaky Friday” we see how a Chinese cookie changes the life of Dr. Tess Coleman and her older daughter Anna. They have to live their life in each other’s body until they find a solution for their situation. The actor, Chad Michael Murray has a very small interesting part in

this movie. We have seen this actor in “A Cinderella Story”.

Kelly Osbourne and Tom Sellack had to appear in this movie but dropped out. The mother of Lindsey Loham has a small appearance near the end of the movie.

Although “Freaky Friday” has a much expected story, the acting of Lee Curtis and Lohan make it worth watching. I cannot seem to give them a bad review, even if I want too because of the lack of fantasy from Hollywood producers.
