  • Most CA's cost almost 300$ so for around 160$ you can pick up this lovely full metal body
  • The other problem I faced when I went to shoot the gun was that to insert the battery you have to remove the faceplate to the crane stock battery compartment
  • I would recommend that you get a better battery because the one it comes with is terribly crappy

The Boyi M4 CQB is a very sturdy gun out of the box. Then you pick it up and realize how heavy it really is. This is due to the full metal body which is hard to find for under 200$. Most CA’s cost almost 300$ so for around 160$ you can pick up this lovely full metal body. But after some closer examination I realize why the gun is only 160$. First of all the metal body is more or less very rough for say. The paint scratches easily and the iron

sights look like they will fall apart. I also realized that almost all the weight is in the rails located on the front of the gun. With this being said I highly doubt you will have any problems with the gun breaking besides some minor scratches. The other problem I faced when I went to shoot the gun was that to insert the battery you have to remove the faceplate to the crane stock battery compartment. I ended up breaking off one of the cheap plastic tabs that holds the compartment on but this isn’t ...

      • a problem seeing that a screw will secure the battery once inserted. But to actually get the battery in is another challenge in its self. You have to pretty much force the battery in and pray to god that you don’t short out the wires. I would recommend that you get a better battery because the one it comes with is terribly crappy.

        Shooting

As far as performance goes the only problem I had when shooting the gun was that I needed to put in a new hop up bucking which is a very easy fix. The

gun shoots fairly hard right out of the box at 300-340 fps. The groupings are fairly tight but a tight bore would be a nice improvement.

        Bottom line

This gun will be a solid piece of your arsenal if you are willing to fix a few minor things and are willing to deal with a few scratches. I have also opened up the gear box and the internals look very good almost as sharp as the CA’s do. So if you are looking for a very solid Chinese brand gun at a low cost I would definitely consider the Boyi M4 CQB.
