Last summer I went on a business trip to Pleven (a town in Bulgaria) and I had to find accommodation. Pleven is a 50,000 people town but it turned out that the only decent hotel at the city centre is Hotel Rostov.

      First I tried two others

(cheaper ones) but I liked none.

Hotel Rostov is at the very center of the town.

In fact, I understood that this is one of the town symbols, so everyone would guide you to it.

Pleven has a beautiful pedestrian main street with wonderful water cascades.

      But ...

      • let’s go back to the Hotel Rostov - it is a three star hotel, there are two restaurant halls - hall “Don” with 40 seats and hall “Pleven” with 60 seats.

Also there is an outdoor restaurant which accommodates about 120 people.

        All the rest at the

hotel was ok, too - the room had TV set, fridge, internet access and telephone.

There was a casino and a night club.

And finally, the personnel could speak foreign languages - to my business partner’s great surprise one of the guys there spoke his native language - Romanian.
